This study prompted the leaders of the movement to teach others and thus to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord. This makes the Brethren distinct from others. Teach or Perish is our watch-word. Now, let us face a reality. Compared to the present necessities and challenges, we dont have sufficient teachers in our Assemblies. Of course we pray that our Lord will raise teachers; but someone must train them. BBI is doing its bit to train up those who have the gift. We are asked not to neglect but keep the gifts aflame. We look back with thanksgiving to our Lord for His faithfulness. He made sufficient provisions and these past 16 years have been characterized by our trust in the Lord for all the needs. We are also thankful to all of you who have been faithful in strengthening our hands in this ministry. Still we need to expand. At present we are located in cramped premises. The Lord in His mercy averted a virtual tragedy of fire, and it was only divine providence that saved the lives of many students. We still suffer the after-shocks when we recollect the experience. We are sure that the Lord who was upholding this work hitherto in His mighty hands, will continue to do so in the coming days also. As long as it is day, let us work for the extension of the kingdom of God. 14 Ludhiana (Punjab) News Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, Greetings to you in the most highly exalted name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who worketh all things after the counsel of His own Will, and doeth the same for our good- for us who are called according to His own purpose.(Romans 8:28). We are sending the update of the news from Ludhiana. Ludhiana Assembly: We have regular Worship, Breaking of Bread meeting and Sunday School on Sundays. During the week we have Bible Studies, Prayer meetings, Visiting, Cottage meetings, Slum meetings, Gospel preaching, Literature distribution and Village Ministry. Please pray. Visitors : The following Brethren Paulson Poulas and Manoj (Bethesda Assembly, Bangalore) and Benny Chackochan from Bihar, Bro.Franklin from Ooty and Bro.Victor Sunder Raj from Chennai, have visited us during the last three months. Their ministry was a blessing to the Assembly. Outreach: On 26th January, the Lord helped us to give Gods word to thousands of people at the Parade ground after the National Function. On 07th February, after a public Gospel meeting, some Hindu fundamentlist threatened to put us behind the Bar if we continue to hold the gospel meeting again in that particular area of the Ludhiana city. Some of our converts were told to go back to Hindu fold otherwise face all types of punishment. Please pray. Opposition is increasing. Workers Meeting: of the North-west India was held at our Assembly building at Ludhiana city on 31st January, and it was a blessed time of fellowship, sharing reports and praying for one another. Few of the Brethren could not attend the meeting as they were either not well or were busy in the Lords work. FORTY DAYS CONTINUOUS EVANGELISTIC PROGRAMME HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT these days by GODS GRACE, we enjoyed giving Gods Word to thousands of people amidst some opposition, and many contacts have been made. Please pray for the seed thus sown. Family: Children are busy with their work, studies and duties. Molly, my wife, is joyfully managing each day by the grace of God. Her short-term teaching assignment will finish on 30th.April 2006. Regarding Future: We have been concerned about the future of our children and about the accommodation / a house to live in. We continue to wait upon the Lord for these matters. We are thankful to God for providing the temporary Hospital accommodation. Trusting the Lord we continue working in the Lords vineyard. The Lord has promised: He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121). Thank you for your love and prayers for us. WE WISH YOU A BLESSED NEW YEAR 2006. With Christian Love and Prayer, Yours in the Lord, Madan Paul and family. Post Box - 157, (Anatomy) C.M.C., Ludhiana - 141008. Punjab. India. Beny Chackochan, writes from Begusarai, Bihar - India Thank you very much for your prayer support in the past years for us and for the ministry here. The Lord honored our humble efforts here and gave us some fruits. The Lord is still working here in Begusarai at the out-set of this New Year. Praise be to His Holy name. I would like to encourage you to pray for our great country INDIA and the gospel work here. Here comes some (Brethren) statistics about India. Total population ------------------------ 103 Crores (approx) Total no of states ---------------------- 28 Union territories ----------------------- 7 Total districts -------------------------- 585 Total villages --------------------------- 5,00,000 Languages ------------------------------- 1652 Total districts covered ---------------- 290 Total *unreached districts ------------ 295 Hindus ------------------------------------ 83% Muslims ----------------------------------- 11% Christians --------------------------------- 3.6% Others ------------------------------------- 2.4% Today, there are 295 districts in India where we have NO brethren Assembly testimony. We brethren people are proud about our doctrines and believe that we are close to the sound teaching of the Word of God. And also we know that, Christendom is being perverted and loosing its serenity in everywhere. At this situation, how can we fulfill Gods command, go and preach the gospel to everyone. This is a highly challenging task anywhere in the world. Our blessed Lord said, the harvest is plentiful but workers are few. Dear brothers and sisters, what can we do ? Shall we preach the gospel to our neighbors ? Shall we bring some souls to the feet of the Lord? Shall we encourage a soul winner? Winning the soul is the work of God. Athma daham a musical CD (Malayalam) with encouraging messages are now available for distribution for just Rs. 30/- with us (postal charges extra). This is to encourage the believers to win souls . This is primarily a challenge for missionary work. Please ask for a copy and encourage us too. Address, Beny chackochan, KRUPALAY New professors colony P.O.
