“Go up to Gilead and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt; In vain you will use many medicines; You shall not be cured. JEREMIAH 46:11

Genesis 37:25
And they sat down to eat a meal. Then they lifted their eyes and looked, and there was a company ofIshmaelites, coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing spices, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carrythem down to Egypt.

Jeremiah 8:22
Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people?

The Lord Jesus tells in Revelation 3 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Jesus Christ is our healer while many trust in other charlatans and quacks. The Lord is our healing balm of Gilead as His Stripes has healed us. Nothing else can soothe the wounds except the Blood of our Lord. He is our Good Samaritan who takes wayward sheep like us and guides us to higher plains of JOY. JP
